I am like no one else. I am the luckiest man in the world.
I think ALL THE TIME. I can't imagine myself being any other way.
I love people and animals. I was a vegetarian for many years and still do not eat beef or pork (alright, usually...). I have two dogs and a cat that live with me.
I was raised in the church and I'm very comfortable with Christianity. It's both difficult and very easy to put into words what I contemplate these days that is of a spiritual nature. I'll usuually try and explain it if I'm around and you ask, provided I can muster the words.
I do my best to not judge people and do good by others, but I disagree with a lot of what other people say and believe and I am not sorry for it even if I come across as diplomatic. I value honesty very highly and do not care for truly dishonest or manipulative people. If you are a liar and you bring your noise my way I will fight you, outwit you, or otherwise eliminate your influence in my life.
I am extremely political. I'm also not afraid to express a really crazy view on something if I believe it. Consensus reality isn't the be all end all, anyway. The unfortunate part of this is that I haven't been able to take advantage of a good deal of opportunity I have had lately to fulfill my political interests. Still, sometimes you have to lay big groundwork for big change.
My personal life is none of your business unless I make it that way. I am really very friendly. I am also an overly self important and genuinely caring person.
I've got more productive ways to spend my time than getting into trouble the ways that I used to. I still get into trouble, just not like I used to. That got expensive.
I love going to college. I am disappointed that I haven't made as much progress as I would have otherwise liked to in the past year, but this last year has been one of transition that is just now peaking. I took online classes last semester and absolutely tanked because, despite scoring far higher than I expected (read: A's) on individual exams, personal matters kept me from delivering timely performance that would have earned me great grades overall. I want to resume honors classes, what with their more comfortable chairs and all.
I absolutely love making music and listening to music. I love singing. I love playing guitar, slide guitar, banjo, and anything else I can get my hands on. When I really get into playing an instrument, it's like my soul can sing. Aside from trying to make it, I love hearing music. When I was still there, I love sitting on the roof of my front porch in midtown and playing banjo. I love my ipod, but I am dying for a new one. I love seeing live music performed. I love so many different kinds of music. I love gangsta rap and bluegrass, jazz and blues, hippie bands and electronica... as long as it sounds good. And yes, I really enjoy some pop trash. But oh I do hate noise. When I listen to songs, I hear the words as music about 85% of the time.
I love sharing opinions with people and hearing what they have to say, usually.
I miss working out. I really miss it. It seems like my last job actually prohibited me from some of my favorite things, among them being regular, planned exercise. I've made a lot of recent changes that pretty much leave me with no excuses for not picking up the slack.
Even if I intensely dislike someone, I can probably tell you something good about them. But usually if I intensely dislike someone, it isn't worth the time to do that.
I like to solve problems, and if I you are not careful I might try to solve yours. Might.
I want to argue and write for a living, and solve problems for people (one or many). I worked for a bank for roughly four and a half years and now I'm starting at a law firm in an ancillary role that will be some great experience. It's going to be a while.
I was born in Marion, Ohio on August 6, 1981. I moved to Indiana at a young age for 18 months. From there, I moved to The Woodlands, TX outside of Houston. After 3rd grade, my family moved to Georgia. I've lived here ever since, in Alpharetta, Dunwoody, Woodstock, midtown Atlanta, and now currently enjoying Little 5 Points in Atlanta more than any of them.
I work hard, play harder, and above all insist on enjoying life and the decadence it has to offer.
I am a very realistic optimist, a self starter, and completely insane.
As of 8/6/07, I am 26 years old.
I love my friends.
I stay up far too late for no good reason.
Life just keeps getting better.
